LEADLEY Stuart Having lived in the Ashburton district all my life, I have developed an understanding of our community’s aspirations by involving myself at a community level in a variety of roles. Historically I chaired Wakanui School Board, chaired the Arable Section of Federated Farmers (representing NZ farmers internationally), and had a long involvement in administering Collegiate Rugby Club. Currently I chair the Shareholder Committee of Electricity Ashburton (involved in Governance since 1986), chair the Mid Canterbury Rugby Union Board and am a Board member of Ashburton Trust. I have built my business skills by developing and operating my own farming and related businesses over the last forty five years. Now retired I still own (in partnership) a farm, currently dairy, and have other minor business interests. 12 years experience on the Ashburton Trust Board gives me a clear understanding of the commercial needs to enhance the community aspirations of our business. |
