Gaming Machine Funding
Welcome to the Gaming Machine Proceeds Distribution Website
The former Ashburton Trust Charitable Foundation has now merged with the Lion Foundation who have taken ownership of all gaming machines operated in Ashburton Trust owned premises:
-
Tinwald Tavern - 103-107 Archibald Street
-
Hotel Ashburton - Racecourse Road
-
Devon Tavern - 116-118 Victoria Street
-
Somerset Tavern / The Shed - 284-294 East Street
The Lion Foundation have undertaken the administration role for the gaming machines operated in Ashburton Trust premises, ie: they will ensure that you have supplied all the relevant information to ensure that your application is compliant and eligible for funding consideration.
The decisions on which organizations are successful will still be made by LOCAL people. The Grants Distribution Committee consists of the six elected Ashburton Trust Board members, the Mayor and two independently appointed Ashburton residents. All monies generated through the gaming machines in the Ashburton Trust establishments will be returned to Mid Canterbury based organizations.

Testimonials:
27th November 2010
To the team at the Ashburton Trust
I would like to thank you very much for your ongoing support to the young people in our district. I was lucky enough to receive a $1000 scholarship to further my studies in my chosen field of arts and graphics. It is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.
Thanks once again.
Kind regards,
Charlotte Sowman
